Résumé:

Industrial policies for the promotion of electromobility in countries such as Mexico have failed to take off. Although Mexico maintains 6th place in the world in the production of vehicles with 4 million units per year, the production of electric vehicles is virtually zero. In the case of electric buses there is much more potential for their use, but due to the prevailing social structures and strong investment volumes required, their development is still very limited. While the national purchase of electric buses reaches only a few hundred units, the capacity for its manufacture has great potential. In this sense, industrial policies in emerging countries such as Mexico have a broad field of opportunity.

For the analysis of electro mobility we rely, first, on the analysis of public policies on consumption and its production, and secondly, we carry out an analysis of regional capacities in Mexico, in order to reach the conclusions and recommendations
