Résumé:

The authors present a integrated framework of new mobility to realize the sustainable society through the interdisciplinary approach.
Prior research on “Mobility” was done in the domain of the transport economics(TE) and the management of technology(MOT). Nevertheless the both of these domains independently focused their interests, “Cars as goods” for MOT and “Transportation as a infrastructure” for TE. Originally, technology and regulation develops interdependently. The reform of regulations prompts the evolution of technology. And the evolution of technology enables the development of regulations to realize the sustainable mobility and society. Therefore, the lack of integrated view of technology, regulation, mobility and society becomes the obstacles to generate the solution for the current mobility issues, such as safety, environments, and “people with difficulties of mobility”. Using the other word, new research framework needs to analyze and propose the sustainable mobility and society.
At the same time, so called “New Mobility” such as Car sharing, Ride sharing, and subscription service arise all over the world. These concepts named “Mobility as a Service(MaaS)” and potentially be the solutions for the sustainable society. And these concepts is partially out of existing frameworks. For example, Car sharing and Ride sharing are highly related to urban design, transport regulations, and social capital, as well as innovation of ICT and vehicles. Therefore the integrated framework needs to precisely grasp the phenomenon.
At the presentation, authors propose the experimental model to analyze the New Mobility in an integrated framework citing the cases of new mobility and its social implementation, such as Ride sharing service of the rural area in Japan. The precondition of enabling ride sharing service is actually complicated. This is the interdependence among local governments, national governments, platform company, local residents, local economy and social capital. Detailed description of the case propose the integrated analysis model of the social implementation of “New Mobility”.
