Science based entrepreneurship through the lens of sectoral and national innovation systems: French academic start-ups developing hydrogen and fuel cell technologies

Abstract:

This article analyzes science based entrepreneurial activities in hydrogen and fuel cell technologies (HFCs) in France through five case studies of academic start-ups (ASUs). Two systemic perspectives, the national system of innovation and the sectoral system of innovation have been mobilized to gain insights on the development trajectories of these firms.
