The Possibility of new developments due to the cooperation of next generation vehicle and home in Japan

Abstract:

In Japan, as means to solve an oil crisis and air pollution, various ministries and companies worked on the dissemination of electric vehicle from the 1970s, but did not come true. However, from the late 2000s, low carbon, energy saving, diversification of fuel accelerate movement for dissemination and, in addition, the expectation to new industrial creation rises with the innovation of batteries and control units. According to "The action plan for low-carbon society" approved by Cabinet in 2008 , the next-generation vehicle refers to a HV, EV, PHV, FCV, CDV, CNG, this research focuses on EV and PHV using the electricity as power source.
After having confirmed problem of various actors from the late 2000s, this research analyze the possibility of the cooperation of next generation vehicle and home.
