Abstract:

The global energy sector is undergoing a remarkable transformation, with rapid advancements observed in the new energy vehicle industry over the past decade. This research aims to explore the risk perception and supply chain innovation in China’s new energy vehicle industry and their subsequent impact on supply chain resilience. Data was collected from 278 questionnaires distributed among experienced professionals in the new energy vehicle industry. The results show that risk perception serves as a driving force behind supply chain innovation, which, in turn, contributes to enhanced supply chain resilience. The mediating path of risk perception – supply chain innovation – supply chain resilience underscores the pivotal role of supply chain innovation in bolstering adaptive capabilities and resilience. This study highlights the importance of supply chain innovation in enhancing the resilience of new energy vehicle supply chains, and provides practical insights to new energy vehicle supply chain managers.
